As a commercial photographer and studio, the first question we are asked is do we also take press and public relations commissions- not only by press agency clients but also business owners and their marketing professionals, who are working with the press. The answer is yes and yes, throughout the UK! Often the second, is... do we cover events and conferences. But what is an event to a professional commercial event photographer? The variety for us has been is huge! Our commercial and business event photography commissions has seen us supporting a company conference or business exhibition, perhaps capturing a company's business presence at a business or country fair & steam engine jamboree! Yes, the breadth of business and commercial event commission has been endless and all are handled with the same enthusiasm and care.

Our range of press, public relations (PR) clients is wide - press agency, client side, marketing or public relations practitioner - so the work is equally broad - from buildings, event work, conference support through to product push and employee portraits. Operating as a freelance business or press PR photographer means our commissions can be anywhere - and frequently does.
All we ask for is a strong brief - remember we're ex PR and marketing professionals - so the brief essentially is 'creative direction'.
We like to keep away from the 'grip and grin' images if we can, so if we know the use of the image and even the subject title of the editorial we may be able to be a little more creative - subject depending that is and that they are happy to oblige! Images & Video is sent to you via WeTrans (not Dropbox). This way we get a receipt on delivery and downloading - so if you want us to send the images to a third party we have audit tracking for you.

When it comes to event coverage, we work throughout the UK for a wide range of commercial clients from banking through to oil and gas, hospitality to academia. The client base ranges in size from business start-ups to international PLCs and the events we cover are equally diverse - some of the smaller boutique events requiring a huge coverage commitment whilst conferences little more than a keynote speaker. It's all down to the brief.
Companies see events, which fit within the business or corporate messaging, as vital to interact with their clients and commercial partners. So yes - if they have a stand at a game fair because they are a land agent or estate management company - we are there to photograph their team's interaction - and if they choose a stand at a steam engine rally... well... yes, we're there. The same applies to political conferences, business launch events and product exhibitions. Key being, we try and capture images that support your investment being there and the proposition you are promoting.
