Interior and property photography photoshoot case study for a holiday let property in Aviemore. The property is called, Gael Cham and was built and is owned by Allan Munro Construction. A large holiday home – a huge log cabin, very fine fabrics and a stunning standard of finish throughout had some fantastic finer points – little door handle decorations, imaginative house wares, expensive throws which all bring the holiday experience to a very high level.
Geal Holiday Homes who manage this for them asked us over to do a full property and interior photography shoot of the cottage following a recent refurbishment of the property, which due to its location off the busy streets of Aviemore, is the perfect location to stay and tackle the Cairngorm or ski.
Key to this shoot – was the use of the timber walls – we wanted to show the tone and shape but not just look like a drab wooden cabin – because the property is far from it! Using a simple bonce the images were ‘fill-lit’ and then under-exposed bringing out the lighting archs and the figuring within the timber panels. Far more dramatic than a normal log cabin image.
