FOOD PHOTOGRAPHER. CONFECTIONARY. ALDOMAK, GLASGOW.

Food Photographer Glasgow. (Copyright Protected, Watermarked, IP Monitored)

Scottish tablet.  You either love it or hate it – a confectionary that is guaranteed to create a reaction if brought up in conversation, some adore it, others prefer it with their whisky, others can sit and consume a tub in a single sitting and to others… well it’s just it is a block of sugar.

As with most things in Scotland, it’s production essentially a slab of confection, is steeped in artisan descriptions such as hand broken, hand stirred etc. so, it has become a staple to many and not just the tourists!  It’s not just consumed on its own anymore and has become a vital ingredient in baking and the other Scots passion – ice cream. We were asked in by Aldomak to shoot their product range for both wholesale and retail as they

were investing in a new website.  The product had to be shot in an ecommerce format (clipped to white) where packaging was concerned – small tablets, through to retail tubs and then large carton boxes.  Then we had the chance to play a little creating lifestyle images

of the product in production.  Key to Aldomak’s tablet product – beyond the quality of it’s ingredients, which is second to none – is the fact they hand-break the pieces – not cut by machine, so we went back to the farmhouse styling – just how most tablet was produced in the past – indeed it was renowned as a house product each having its own version of the recipe.

The images were all set to Dropbox for their designer in Poland to assemble their designs.
